Studio Workshop with David Dunlop – Shoreline Reflections and Grasses – NEW ONLINE WORKSHOP!

Explore the power and magic of painting shorelines and reflections with Emmy® award winning acclaimed artist and teacher David Dunlop.

In this informative and inspiring 82 minute workshop, David creates an oil painting based upon several photographs of a favorite location at Randall’s Farm in the Aspetuck Land Trust in Connecticut.  He is interested in creating a soft flickering, cloissonne’ pattern of woodland grasses and reflections from the pond of a river with a shoreline along a high horizon.    In this painting, David is intending to evoke a psychological effect through the use of unified light, unified texture, color contrast, and fractured surfaces.    David is interested in expanding his repertoire of mark making and effects as he experiments with brushes, squeegees, and his hands – as well as using techniques of the Old Masters – to create a tapestry of textures in this shimmering landscape.
