DAVID’S WEEKLY LIVE ONLINE PAINTING DEMONSTRATION WORKSHOPS with PERSONAL PAINTING CRITIQUE.
1. THREE SATURDAY WORKSHOPS at 11:00am EST.
David will lead a series of four 3 – 3.5 hr. live online workshops from his studio which each include a discussion, painting demonstrations and a personal critique of class members’ paintings on Zoom on Saturdays at 11am EST.
Through demonstrations we embrace a spectrum of subjects from micro close-ups to broad vistas, from water’s movements to the effects of wind in the sky, from primeval forests to frenzied cities, from soft, misty illumination to sparkling reflections, from wild flowers to meadows. David explores how paintings have evolved across the world from ancient history to today. and he will borrow and mix those traditions. David will experiment with materials and methods and will explore painting nature from realism to abstraction. David begins his workshops with a discussion of design and composition and then proceeds with a 1-1.5 hr. painting demonstrations. He then will give live individual personal critiques of class member’s artworks.
Recordings (lightly edited) of the workshops may be available for your later review.
Zoom Video Conferencing. We are using the Zoom video conferencing technology, which also allows us to record the class. Not everything will work perfectly at first, but we will keep trying to improve our online experience. Thank you for your patience! (You can use the free Zoom option and you will need to register at Zoom before the class. Click here for more information on how to register for Zoom.) Please update your Zoom software because there have been issues with Zoom because of the recent surge in usage because so many people are now at home.
