Join award-winning master artist David Dunlop for a one day workshop “In Nature’s Garden.” Learn how artists have painted historically painted gardens from antiquity to today. We explore how to evoke the complex textures of dense flora, the sensation of mass detail, and variegated patterns created by sunlight on flora. We explore how flora glows like stained glass when backlit by sunlight or moves in a soft breeze. We explore how artists have merged garden painting with abstraction. Your instructor will provide demonstrations and personal counsel as you enjoy exploring Nature’s Garden.
Personal instruction will be offered to artists working in oil, watercolor and acrylic.
