Light and Vibration, a solo exhibition by acclaimed artist David Dunlop, explores translucence and the experience of seeing through air and water to convey depth, atmosphere, and emotion. Forty new paintings examine how light moves, shifts, and vibrates through both nature and New York City scenes. Valleys, coastal shorelines, wildflower meadows, calm waters, and city streets are filled with changing light, rich color, and a continuous sense of movement. Reflections shimmer across sky and water, with translucent glazes creating depth and luminosity that draws viewers into each scene.

Wander intimately in the private realm of bees and grasshoppers, where wildflowers tower above you and gentle streams offer unfolding natural mysteries. Here, sunlight moves through valleys and draws the eye into misty distances. Discover the subtle stillness of nature’s mirror in a secluded stream or pond, vibrating with the echoes of passing clouds.
