David Dunlop’s Live Online Workshop – Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 1:00pm EDT – Vast and Infinite Landscapes

In this new two-hour live online workshop from David’s studio, David will explore the romance and history of the vast and infinite landscape.   David will explore and demonstrate how to create a landscape painting that can transport you from a close-up view of nature to infinity.  David examines and explores how artists from Rembrandt to Turner created landscapes that carry you from an intimate foreground into immense distance.  You will learn how to use principles of disappearance, including linear and atmospheric perspective, optical shifts, color recession and more.   David will demonstrate contemporary techniques and materials and will paint in oil and may incorporate mixed media.   You can paint along with David or just relax with a sandwich.  You will also receive a link to a recorded version of the Workshop so that you may review it later at your leisure.erent ideas and then sketch several compositions to explore different possibilities.

There is no painting critique of class members’ paintings in this painting demonstration Workshop but David will be happy to answer your questions.
